Ava Rasti presents a masterclass that introduces a personal approach to musical composition, emphasizing intuition, improvisation, and experimentation over conventional theoretical frameworks.
Participants gain insight into a process that begins with spontaneous performance, often at the piano, used to generate raw musical material.
Selected segments of these improvisations are then developed using digital audio tools, including the editing and transformation of the original material into new sonic forms. The masterclass highlights methods for shaping these ideas into structured compositions, focusing on practical workflows and creative decision-making.
Rather than emphasizing theory, this session encourages participants to explore composition as a dynamic process driven by sound, instinct, and experimentation.
