“Гільдеґарда (Hildegard)” is a profound and resounding tribute to Hildegard von Bingen, the visionary 12th-century Benedictine nun whose legacy has permeated our culture for almost a millenium, spanning from theology to medicine, from botany to music. In this piece, Heinali and Andriana-Yaroslava recreate two of von Bingen's compositions, dedicated to the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, blending liturgical chant with electronic drones. As we listen to the polyphony that is expanded through a communion of singular sound and spirituality engage in a dialogue with sacral architecture, we are transported to a realm of contemplation and transcendence. Timeless music, masterfully reworked for the present day.
