About Semibreve

Semibreve adapts to a digital landscape for its 2020 digital edition

In the year Semibreve reached 10 editions, we were forced to think of an alternative edition, which took on the idea of seclusion to present a program to be enjoyed at distance, without neglecting the participation of the community in which we operate.

The 2020 edition of the Semibreve took place on the weekend of 24 and 25 October at the Monastery of São Martinho de Tibães, a monastery built in the 17th century, with a program based on sound works specially commissioned for the occasion, roundtables aimed at discussing music and sound art nowadays, audiovisual installations, artistic residencies and workshops for families all in full compliance with COVID-19 measures.
